Borrow ArcGIS license to work offline

OVERVIEW

To borrow a license for ArcGIS to work offline, you will need to have access to an ArcGIS License Manager. Here are the steps to borrow a license:

PROCEDURE

Open the ArcGIS Administrator on the machine where you will be working offline.

Click on Availability to check the availability of a license.
Click on Borrow/Return tab.

Select the ArcGIS product for which you want to borrow a license, such as Desktop Basic, Network Analyst, etc.
Select the number of days for which you want to borrow the license. You can borrow a license for up to 5 days.
Click Apply to borrow the license.

Keep in mind that when you borrow a license, it will become unavailable for others to use. It’s important to return the license when you are finished using it to make it available again. To return a borrowed license follow the same steps, but uncheck the license you wish to return on Step 4.
